New home sales in Martins Chase are almost complete! Lennar has one more property remaining for sale on Scottsbridge Place (I believe it is the Dennisson), and then they will be selling the model home. Except for the conservancy lots that will most likely be for sale for a few years, Lennar will most likely be pulling out!
As a home owner, it is always a plus when the builder leaves. If you have ever needed to sell your home while the builder is still around, it is tough to compete with them. They have incentives and deeper pockets that the average seller cannot compete with. I can say that Lennar has done a respectable job of maintaining home values within the community and not undercutting previous purchasers.
There is a new Amherst listed in Martins Chase! It came on the market yesterday. I would have posted it yesterday but there were no photos. Until now, there is still only a image of the Lennar drawing so I am really hoping that the agent listing the home will put some photos up. I know you are interested so here are the other details…

Most of the road work you now see happening is to create outlets for the lots that will likely remain for sale for some time. Unless the zoning changes, it is possible that we will see a small business built at some point near the club house. My guess is a small day care…
Khovnanian Homes is also finishing up their section of Evergreen Reserve off of Beaverdam and Conservancy. Unfortunately, they have bigger plans than the south side of the Beaverdam Dr. KHOV has plans to develop a new street off of Beaverdam between Martins Chase and the home sitting back in the woods (to the right when driving in). From my understanding, this new section would be home to around 12 lots. Hopefully, they will protect the tree lines and views on Beaverdam Dr. as this is what separates our community from so many others…
